One family’s heartfelt innovation
Tummy Shield® was born after George, an Australian engineer, experienced a distressing driving incident with his seven-month-pregnant wife. During a sudden swerve to avoid an accident, she suffered minor bruising from the seatbelt compressing her abdomen.
Although carried to full term, their daughter later showed signs of a brain injury — likely due to this excessive force. Determined to prevent a similar outcome with their next child, George searched for a safer seatbelt solution but none delivered. Taking matters into his own hands, he developed Tummy Shield™ to help prevent perinatal complications from travel.
